- Atom: The fundamental unit of data/code in the AtomSpace (Nodes and Links).
- AtomSpace: The distributed hypergraph knowledge store used in Hyperon.
- Alignment: The problem of ensuring AI goals match human values.

- GOFAI: Good Old-Fashioned Artificial Intelligence (Symbolic AI).
- Grounding: Connecting abstract symbols to perceptual data or physical reality.

- Hypergraph: A graph where an edge (link) can connect any number of vertices (nodes).
- Hyperon: The next-generation OpenCog AGI framework.

- MeTTa (Meta Type Talk): The primary programming language of Hyperon.
- MOSES: Meta-Optimizing Semantic Evolutionary Search (Program synthesis engine).
